Spring is right around the corner, which means things are about to get busy! And while there are many ways to improve your marketability as an agent, one of the best ways to set yourself apart from other agents is to show your clients that you have the expertise to guide them through the homebuying or selling process. To get you started, here are three pieces of information about oilheat that will help you communicate with clients and close more sales.
The Age of Bioheat®
Bioheat can be a great way to promote your oil-heated listings, because many of today’s buyers will be happy to hear about it. Bioheat is a renewable blend of regular heating oil and biofuels, which are made from products such as soybeans, recycled cooking oils, and other natural products. Bioheat is an ultra-low sulfur fuel, which leads to greater system efficiency and reduces the source of many system maintenance issues. It is made in the United States and requires no modifications to existing systems. What’s more, it costs the same as regular heating oil!
Safety is always a factor for buyers who are considering a new home purchase. You can assure your clients that oil-heated homes are incredibly safe. Oilheat is nonexplosive – if you drop a match in an oil tank, it will simply fizzle out. It’s also not a fire hazard to have an oil tank on your property, because heating oil cannot burn in its liquid state.
High efficiency, low emissions
Your clients will be happy to hear that oil is more efficient than ever. Last year, the state of Massachusetts made a complete switch to ultra-low-sulfur heating oil (ULSHO). This transformation means that the emissions in heating oil, which were already low, have been virtually eliminated. Thanks to ULSHO, oilheat systems will operate longer and require less maintenance, so homeowners will pay less in repair costs and build up greater savings over time.
