This is an exciting time for Realtors taking advantage of the cloud storage services online. Google and Microsoft have recently rolled out their own cloud storage solutions and with the number of available cloud storage services increasing, choosing the one that works for your business can be overwhelming. However, all cloud storage software works basically the same, so there are only a couple questions that you need to ask yourself.
Will it work for me?
Dropbox is clearly the winner for having a wide range of support across the different platforms. All services support web-based uploading, and are fully compatible with iOs and Macs. You will have limited choices for compatible cloud storage applications if you have a Windows-based phone or a Linux-based machine. Keep in mind that software is never set in stone and compatibility changes when software updates are rolled out.
How much does it cost?
Box currently has the cheapest paid storage solutions available (however this does not include Box’s yearly subscription charge). Box does not offer a desktop sync option without upgrading to a business license, and the file size limit is tied with Apple's iCloud for being the lowest. Microsoft comes in a close second for cheapest paid storage solutions with its SkyDrive. It comes in first for the largest amount of free storage, and has very affordable upgrade plans. Be warned, you will not be able to install the Mac client if your computer does not have the OSX lion upgrade.
