The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® offers numerous education courses to further your real estate career and increase your knowledge in specific specialty areas of study. Whether you are interested in pursuing a professional real estate designation, looking to diversify or improve your business skills, or need to acquire continuing education credits prior to license renewal, MAR most likely presents a class that will meet your needs. From regional Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation classes to the Association’s annual Conference and Trade Show, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best MAR certified instructors and nationally-known real estate trainers and educators in the country. MAR also maintains a Clearinghouse of classes being offered around the state that qualify for state-approved continuing education credits.
Professional development is a never-ending process, and there is no better way to communicate your industry knowledge and expertise to consumers than acquiring a professional designation. REALTORS® who hold a professional real estate designation(s) have instant credibility with buyers and sellers, and studies show they typically are more successful and earn a higher income than those agents who have not completed a designation program. Among the professional designation courses MAR frequently sponsors are:
|| Graduate, REALTORS® Institute (GRI) designation|
|| Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation|
|| Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation|
|| Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) designation|
|| Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation|
|| Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation|
MAR also hosts the three-day Instructor Training Institute (ITI) program to prepare REALTORS® for future positions as education course instructors. For information on any of the above designation programs, call MAR Customer Service at 800-725-6272. For a list of current courses, visit our online calendar
To assist you in acquiring the 12 hours of mandatory continuing education credits required to renew your real estate license, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® has developed a Continuing Education Clearinghouse
, which lists all courses (including location, registration and credit information) being offered by MAR and most local REALTOR® associations across the state. Just click to access the Clearinghouse.
MAR annually hosts a 2-day Conference and Trade Show in early fall, featuring an extensive education curriculum that allows members to attend continuing education classes and professional development seminars, as well as the state’s largest industry trade show and several networking activities.
