WALTHAM, Mass. – September 11, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that activity continued to be strong in the summer as the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement were up again in August. This is the 16th straight month that the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement increased from the previous year. Pending figures are a leading indicator of actual housing sales in Massachusetts for the following 2-3 months.

| REALTORS® support new short sale guidelines for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
WALTHAM, Mass. – August 29, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that July marks the 13th straight month that single-family home sales have gone up compared to the same month the year before. Condominium sales were also up from July 2011. Both single-family and condominium median prices were up compared to last year.

| WALTHAM, Mass. – August 21, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) today announced that the REALTOR® Price Index (RPI) hit a new all-time high as the REALTOR® Market Index (RMI) has gone up for the 12th straight month compared to the year before. REALTORS® are reporting that higher rents and lower vacancy rates in the current market are having an impact in driving home purchases.

This is the 15th straight month compared to the same time the year before that the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement increased. Pending figures are a leading indicator of actual housing sales in Massachusetts for the following 2-3 months.

| Median prices flat from last year
WALTHAM, Mass. – July 24, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that June marks the 12th straight month that single-family home sales have gone up compared to the same month the year before. Condominium sales were also up from June 2011, for the sixth straight month of year-over-year increases. Single-family median prices were flat compared to last year while condominium median prices continued to increase from the year before.
