WALTHAM, Mass. – January 1, 2012 – David Stead, a broker with RE/MAX Advantage Real Estate in Worcester has been appointed vice president of professional development for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® for 2012.
As vice president for professional development, Stead is responsible for coordinating the initiatives of the MAR Business Plan relative to the Association’s educational outreach efforts to REALTORS. In addition, he will act as a liaison between leadership and all work groups formed for professional development. He automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his appointment as a focus area vice president.
A member of the MAR Board of Directors, Stead was the Central Region Vice President in 2011. He has also served multiple terms on the Government Affairs Committee.
On the local level, Stead is currently the Vice President of the Worcester Regional Association of REALTORS® (WRAR). He is a member of the Association’s Government Affairs and Professional Standards Committees. In 2010, Stead was named WRAR REALTOR® of the Year.
A REALTOR® since 1991, Stead has earned his Accredited Buyer Representative designation (ABR) and his Loss Mitigation Certification (LMC).
