WALTHAM, Mass. – January 1, 2012 – David Callahan, a broker at Jordan William Raveis Real Estate on Nantucket, has been elected Cape Cod & Islands Region vice president of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) for 2012.
As vice president for the Cape Cod & Islands region, Callahan will coordinate association objectives and activities within the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® (CCIAOR), and meet regularly with local and regional leadership to discuss real estate industry issues of statewide importance. He automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his election as regional vice president.
At the state level, Callahan is a member of the MAR Board of Directors and has been a member of the Professional Standards Committee and has been a Professional Standards Hearing Panelist for many years. He was also a member of the Member Benefits Committee.
On the local level, Callahan is the Immediate Past President of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® and is a member of its Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and Investment Committee.
At the national level, Callahan is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors.
A REALTOR® since 1994, Callahan has earned his Certified Buyer’s Representative (CBR); Certified Residential Specialist (CRS); and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) professional real estate designations.
