In 1976 the Council of Residential Specialists was formed with the objective to create and provide superior educational opportunities for our members. That goal is shared by the Massachusetts CRS Chapter as well.
In addition to the accredited courses offered by national level instructors, we also provide seminars and special events. Our goal is to provide cutting-edge, relevant ideas and best practices for our members, beyond the coursework required to receive the coveted CRS designation.
To become a member of the Massachusetts CRS Chapter, you must be a member of the National CRS. And then from there, working towards earning your CRS designation is a worthwhile goal. The CRS designation is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS® in the residential sales field. Less than 4% of all REALTORS® hold the CRS designation. The requirements include sales and management experience plus education courses.
And whether you are working towards a designation or just beginning the CRS journey, the Council has the resources to continually improve your business planning, strategies, and implementations. You’ll find CRS courses, publications, networking, and learning events and products that keep you far ahead of the pack.
Having access to top producing agents who are successful in any market and are willing to share their secrets and tips, the Council provides our members with continued access to successful business practices and ideas that will increase their production.
Events planned in 2011 that will share CRS top producers include our newly launched CRS Mastermind Series. This series of panel discussions covering current marketing and sales issues will take place across the state. While these events are free to Chapter members as a member benefit, non-members are invited to attend at a nominal charge, so be sure to watch for the schedule.
Joining CRS is a great way to have access to a strong referral network, great education, and a chance to get to the next level in your career. Whether or not you have earned the designation yet, you can still be involved.
On average, a CRS designee earns approximately $34,000 more than a similarly experienced agent, and is in the top 10% of all agents nationwide. With that kind of a return, you owe it to yourself and your business to find out more.
